Thank goodness it's April. This month has my birthday, the start of baseball season, and the close of my horrendous March Maddness performance.
March Madness was fun and exciting at first, but then the colleges of Texas happened.
Somehow, I managed to pick the SMU, Baylor, Texas, and SF Austin games wrong. Thanks a lot Lone Star State. I'm now the lone person in my pool who hasn't cracked 700 points.
Since I am over 400 points behind, I decided to use my time creating the Final Four of bucket bags! (Get it, buckets- like in basketball.... It's punny?)
I love the structure and style of bucket bags. They can effortlessly transition from night to day and can be paired with so many different styles. Here are my favorite four bucket bags to celebrate that I can shop better than I can bet on basketball!
I am a 90s girl, so anything MK&A do is absolute perfection. But I would love this tie dye bag even if it was designed by that horrible Megan Fox character from Holiday in the Sun.
This bag has a short handle, a long adjustable strap, and three inside pockets to help keep your things organized and easily accessible. While I love tie dye and hope it makes a serious comeback (along with overalls and fanny packs) it's not for everyone. Luckily, this bag also comes in pink, blue, yellow, red, colorblocked, stripes, woven, and more!
If you google image search "Bucket Bag" this is what you find. It's the it-bag of bucket bags, and it's easy to see why. The silhouette is simple yet gorgeous, the construction and leather is impeccable, and the contrast lining keeps it interesting. Some even come with a detachable zippered wallet to keep your keys and change accessible.
Sounds great, right? The biggest problem with it-bags is their popularity, so it's pretty hard to find one! Luckily, the Mansur Gavriel website is restocking in May, Barneys is accepting preorders for the bag in white, and there are ton on eBay!
Whenever I think of Chloe, I think of Jef from the bachelor telling Emily that if her daughter is baggage, then she's a Chloe handbag.
Luckily this bag is See by Chloe, so it isn't totally connected to a reality show romance that completely fell apart once the cameras stopped. Unlike the sharp structure of some bucket bags, this bag is made from soft, grainy leather- giving it a more causal look. But then the gold hardware adorning the oversized tassels dress it up. It's the perfect bag to transition from day to night! (Or transitioning day to night is probably the norm..)
I love the textured leather and whipstitching accents. You also can't go wrong with the rose gold accent bead, which weighs down the drawstring closure. This bag is all about making fashion function.
The bag is made from cowhide leather, has an adjustable cross body strap, and the lined interior has three pockets. It's the ultimate laid back bag without losing its chic.
I hope your bracket did better than mine, and if not... I'm sure a bucket bag will make everything better.
